- Ashtanga & Power Yoga
Comprises a set sequence of continuous flowing, dynamic and powerful postures; offering you a new challenge daily for the rest of your life. The motivation being to train you to develop your own self practice, whereby you can be anywhere (solitary confinement, a big city, a deserted island) and continue to nurture your body, mind and breath connection, Keeping you united and together. Following the Ashtanga Primary Series we do standing postures, balance poses, forward bends, twists, back bends, and inversions. Here you will get to understand the true meaning of YOGA, as you learn to work with your body, mind & breath connection at your own unique pace. It can be hard work and thus requires that you have a certain amount of stamina.
- Vinyasa (Flow) Yoga
These classes are choreographed to spiritual music - the intention being to assist each practitioner into a yoga inspired moving meditative trance, whereby you nourish your body, cleanse your mind & rejuvenate your existence. We keep the flow of movement with the breath as we move between the yoga postures in a heavenly dance. Each class is sequenced differently and concentrates on working on different areas of the body; building balance, strength and flexibility whilst flushing out toxins and bringing fresh blood and nutrients to the muscle tissue and organs and improving respiration. It is upbeat and energetic. Knowledge of the basic yoga poses is necessary.
- Beginner Flow Yoga
Bringing awareness into the present moment during a wonderful, gentle, relaxing and stretching class. Great if you are a new comer to yoga fatigued or stressed. Included in this class are some breathing exercise techniques which revitalizes and nourishes the whole body as you learn to bring more oxygen into the blood and consequently to your organs and especially your brain. The class starts slowly with some gentle warm ups and gradually builds up to some stronger poses and stretches and finally quietens down again for final relaxation. It includes teaching the basic set of yoga postures, which form the foundation of all the more advanced classes. They are performed slowly and meditatively in order to assist you in awakening your awareness and control of your body, freeing you from fears and instilling confidence and serenity. After this class you will feel relaxed yet full of energy.
- Hatha Yoga Strong Alignment Base Yoga
This style gives you a more classical view of yoga which is disciplined and whereby you work very specifically on your alignment. The use of props to correct your posture is encouraged. The poses are held for longer to ensure all the benefits of each are experienced. A must for all yoga practitioners, as once you have mastered a posture correctly it becomes effortless. These classes will enrich your life as well as your other classes. You will feel wonderfully energized after the class.
